Zara is a stand-up comedian and actor in theatre, film and TV. Her first comedy gig was broadcast on STV during Edinburgh Fringe 2017. She wrote and performed in sketches for The Late Show while playing in comedy clubs and festivals across the UK.

 

By 2018 She was headlining venues and had been shortlisted for Scottish Comedian Of The Year. She has since hosted BBC's The Comedy Underground and performed standup on Socially Distant with Susan Calman. Zara has now written and performed in her own BBC Comedy Shorts, available on the BBC iPlayer and has a BBC Comedy Underground podcast episode on BBC Sounds.

Zara has recently wrapped on filming as a supporting artist for Jemima Goldsmith's 'What's Love Got To Do With It?' with Emma Thompson and Lily James. She is also starring in her own comedy shorts on the BBC iPlayer. Previously she fronted a campaign for Comic Relief's Big Night In, she was an actor in an award-winning Solace Women's Aid Campaign, a global advert for Liz Earle Skincare and another for Sainsbury's. 

Zara has performed on stage in theatres, alongside Joe Pasquale in Spamalot, with Kevin Kennedy in The Commitments and in Ellen Kent's Die Fledermaus.

 

She is available as an actor and comedian for TV, Film, corporate and brand collaborations, events, hosting and workshops.
